Ascot Appoints Neil Dalton Group Chief Claims Officer
Ascot announced today the appointment of Neil Dalton to Group Chief Claims Officer.
In this newly created role, Neil will develop and lead strategies to deliver an innovative and differentiated claims experience to global clients via a streamlined, proactive and well-executed claims management process. Neil reports to Mark Smith, Group Chief Risk Officer, and is based in Ascot’s London office.

Neil’s appointment underscores Ascot’s continued dedication to leveraging the tools and talent needed to drive positive claims outcomes for our clients across our operating platforms.”
Neil has more than 30 years of experience managing claims. After spending time in claims management at Markel International and Lloyd’s corporation, he joined Ascot in 2007 as Head of Claims for Ascot Underwriting Limited (AUL), where he was instrumental in building the organization’s syndicate claims function.
In addition to his Group responsibilities, Neil will continue to oversee the day-to-day management of AUL claims. Marina Barg, Chief Claims Officer, Ascot US, and Joy LaHuta, Head of Claims, Ascot Bermuda, will continue to report to Matt Kramer, Ascot US CEO, and Justin Keith, Ascot Bermuda CEO, respectively, to manage platform-specific claims. Marina and Joy will also work closely with Neil on Group level claims strategy and support.
