Ascot Announces Closing of Acquisition of AmFed National Insurance Company

Ascot today announces the successful closing of the acquisition of specialty workers compensation insurer AmFed National Insurance Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“AmFed”), following receipt of regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
AmFed, based in Ridgeland, Mississippi, is a leader in the Mississippi workers compensation industry with additional licenses in 15 Southeastern and Midwestern states.
The acquisition was first announced on September 30, 2021* and represents Ascot’s entry into the U.S. workers compensation market and the first step in a targeted expansion strategy in select regions across the country.
