Mitch McBain joins Ascot Bermuda as Head of Management Liability

Ascot today announces the appointment of Mitch McBain as Senior Vice President, Head of Management Liability in Bermuda.

Mitch will assume responsibility for the underwriting and management of Ascot’s professional and management liability insurance portfolios in Bermuda. Ascot currently provides a range of excess insurance solutions across casualty, professional lines, and healthcare within the Bermuda market, complementing the leading P&C reinsurance presence Ascot has maintained on the island since 2016. Mitch’s remit is to expand Ascot’s professional lines presence, collaborating closely with colleagues across the U.S. and at Lloyd’s.

Mitch joins from Willis Towers Watson where he was Head of UK & International for Finex D&O. Mitch has held several underwriting and broking roles in professional lines, starting off as an Account Executive at Willis before transitioning to underwriting with Liberty Insurance and Axis Capital. Based in Bermuda, Mitch will report to Ian Thompson, CEO, Bermuda.
